Also whilst empire isn’t really known for its breadth of unit diversity between factions, Prussia has access to slightly better line infantry, Austria has larger line infantry units and the ottomans have good artillery options.
Prussia, Austria and the Ottomans are my personal favourites as they are more challenging as you have enemies on every front that you will have to start fighting in the first 10 turns or so. Maratha confederacy is a fun faction going from two separated regions fighting your war for the Indian subcontinent.īritain, France, United Provinces and Spain are all fun factions in that you get a balance of fighting both at sea and on land from the get go, as well as fighting your wars over 2 or more different continents, never gets old for me. Good factions to really depend on what you like to start with
